The destruction efficiency and relative cost of fluidized bed incineration and molten salt combustion of pesticide wastewater sludges and cancelled pesticide materials are compared to conventional high temperature incineration. Current disposal practices of pesticide manufacturers, formulators and applicators are discussed. A regional plan for the collection and disposal of these sludges is proposed to reduce transportation and treatment costs.
