Images from all 100 of the state's counties are included in the collection, which is also the major repository for historical images of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The North Carolina Collection Photographic Archives preserves the work of amateur and professional photographers alike, and contains 1.5 million images that include examples of all major photographic formats. North Carolina Collection Photographic Archives Digital Files contain digital primary source materials included in archival collections.
