9813-9824 Myron Cohen guest teaches EPI757, HIV in developing countries class. Cohen is Associate Vice Chancellor for Global Health and Director of the Institute of Global Health and Infectious Diseases at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, He is a dynamic lecturer, engages the students and tosses in relevant humor. In May he received the UNC Board of Governors' highest faculty honor, the O. Max Gardner Award, the only award across the 17 UNC campuses that all faculty are eligible for. Cohen is one of the world's leaders on transmission and prevention for HIV/AIDS. He joined UNC in 1980, the year AIDS was first identified.
