Present: Fran Allegri, Linda Carl, Jim Curtis, Peter DeSaix, Kathleen Dulaney, Phill Lyons, Ruth Marinshaw

Programs: Jim Curtis presented a list of possible programs. Tentative suggestions include the following:

· September: The Summer Reading Program: Student Affairs (Cindy Wolf Johnson), University Relations (Mike McFarland), Human Resources (Laurie Charest), Student Body President or student representative, Book Selection Committee (Madeleine Grumet), representative from the Housekeeper’s Association.

Program responsibility: Rob Kramer and Linda Carl;

Possible locations: Hyde Hall, Toy Lounge, Johnston Center

· October: Historical campus tour with Jim Leloudis:

Program responsibility: Jim Curtis.

· November: Breakfast roundtable with Nancy Suttenfield with a “café” of interactive tables

· December: Employee Wellness (Heels for Health Run co-sponsored by Employee Forum, Faculty Council and Active by Design.

Program responsibility: Phill Lyons and Peter DeSaix.

· January: Seminar for Managers with Martha Pendergrass

· February: UMPD update

Program organizer: Rob Kramer

· March: Human Resources with possible topics—“The New Hire Policy,” “How Managers Can Improve Staff Development”

Program responsibility: Rob Kramer

· April: Internal VIP: Vice Chancellor for Information Technology???

· May: Health and Safety (construction, SARS) and student workers (library)

· June: book to be decided

Future agenda items: follow-up on theme luncheons with UMA “elders.”
