Subject: real audio Date: Sun, 03 Jan 1904 07:28:15 +0000 From: Sally Greene To: gilmer@ballistic.com I've entered a new world; am listening to the NPR impeachment live coverage on my computer while typing e-mail through the Netscape interface. My e-mail is now totally screwed up since I have my old "pine" reader too and I have not figured out how to use the Netscape fully. It's obviously better in the way the interface is, especially how you can click on sites and go straight there. But I don't know how to make files to save or to look at my sentmail and my old address book (and all my old files) are not here. So it's a mixed bag as far as I'm concerned. I've switched my hours to work 1 hr. longer on Mondays & Tuesdays and then I can work just afternoons on Fridays, starting today; it's much better already. This morning I spent 90 minutes volunteering in Tucker's class. What a trip. It's mostly just herding them around. Last night was the school Christmas show, featuring Tucker's class and one other K class and a 3rd grade class and the 5th grade chorus. An award-winning chorus, but really, the Green Buckeyes in my memory were as good or better, or maybe the music was just better. You can't beat "Let there be peace on earth" or for that matter "Moon River." Tucker was the star of his class's show. He was Santa. Didn't tell us till two days before, and in fact, Paul wormed it out of him or the teacher; the point is that if it were me alone, I might not have found out that soon. but I did ask why he waited so long to tell us; he said he wanted to surprise us! Well, why not. He doesn't understand that it's time and trouble to get a costume done; these things just happen. Anyway, he was a great Santa, and we'll just have to tell you about it in person. Suffice to say he stole the show. And I gather that he volunteered for the part, that nobody else was much interested. Sounds like the censure option is about to go down. This is just unreal isn't it? I mean, yes, he's a scoundrel, but this is a fiasco.
