Treasurer Report:

1. Good shape financially!

2. Need to review budget allocation for next year.

Old Business:

1. The Sonya Haynes center tour

a. Meeting place will be the lobby.

b. No refreshments will be served.

c. No parking is available but no need to mention in flyer and/or email notification.

2. Wednesday Conversational Lunches: upcoming topics

a. April Conversations Lunch: Creating Effective Partnerships  (Ned Brooks)

b. May Conversations Lunch:  Servant Leadership (Rob)

3. Recognition Committee

a. Conference call on April 04 will review nominations for ‘Manager of the Year’

b. Gretchen McCoy will present award.

c. The award will be presented at annual meeting.

d. Peter will need to sign award certificate.

4. Annual Meeting

a. Speaker wants to know location and availability of AV equipment.

i. Bring you own lap top

ii. Health Sciences Library room is reserved, but it is small, so we should get Toy Lounge if it is free.

b. When sending out Annual Meeting notification, request RSVP. The final location will be determined by number of RSVPs.

c. Annual Meeting time distribution:

Motions Passed

1. The board must approve large expenses (i.e. cost of a speaker).  There was no dollar value placed on ‘large expenses’.

2. Issuing gift certificates to outgoing UMA board members will be discontinued this year.

3. All nominees for board must be members with a current paid membership.

4. One year free membership will be provided to winners of UMA Manager of the Year and the new award HR is presenting (and I can’t remember the name). If the winner(s) are already UMA members, their memberships will be extended an additional year
