	I heard from Ed Burlingame this morning, who finds our material strong and well-polished, and thus, a major hurdle has been crossed. 

	Meanwhile, I turned to the climax of the book, the two chapters on the Galileo trial, and found that they were in reasonable shape. But I think they should be consolidated into one chapter, so I don't let the reader off the hook. This riveting sequence should be read in one sitting.
	
	Thus, I'm hoping you can attack this chapter right away. Assuming you get this on Wednesday, do you think we could talk on Friday evening or Saturday morning?
