Consider the following questions and think of others for discussion of this proposal at the 11/18/2011 Faculty Council meeting (at tables):

There is no mechanism for creating a "campus theme"; what is the role of Faculty Council in this process?
Why water?
How and what would we do with this?
If we adopted this, what does that mean?
What are the implications, opportunities and costs for me, my classes, my department, or the institution?
What financial incentives might be developed? Are financial incentives needed?
If someone wants to be involved, what would they do?
How should we engage other people? [e.g. summer reading, performing arts, residence scholars—what others?]
How would the arts & humanities be involved?
Should there be a steering committee?
What would be the role of students and student organizations?
