All: 0078-0111 The Orange County Red Cross chapter set up an emergency shelter in the middle of the night Friday night for residence who may have needed shelter. Orange County received just under 5 inches of rain Friday night through Saturday morning. 0078-0092 - Romer Orada and Dee Stribling volunteer for the Red Cross on Saturday after Tropical Storm Hanna passed through Orange County leaving substantial rain. Orada and Stribling concentrate on filling out the Disaster Assessment paperwork. 0102,0105 - The Red Cross' motto is "Build a kit. Make a plan. Be informed." Anyone can purchase preassembled Emergency Preparedness Kits from the Red Cross. The one pictured here is a 3-Day kit, which includes basics such as energy bars, water, radio, flashlight, gloves. These kits can be purchased through your local chapter or at Redcross.org or prepared at home. The Red Cross has guidelines on their website for what to include in your kit.
