Subject: Re: Kelsey book Date: Wed, 24 Mar 1999 18:11:43 -0600 From: "Kim Austin" To: Hello! Your trip sounds wonderful. I hope you will write more about it and print in the paper. I did come to Gilmer on Sat. night. I meant to drop the book off with Mary on Monday morning before I left to come home but I completely forgot it. I had it right there on the front seat so I wouldn't forget but I still did not remember! I think I'll just drop it in the mail to you tomorrow. I have the address for the paper so I'll send it to your atttention at the Mirror office. If my memory serves me correctly, Julie (Hall) Goughnour coordinated the book project. Descendants of the early Mormon families in Upshur County were invited to submit family histories and stories for the book. It also has stories and photos of the early communities of Kelsey and Enoch. Its just a soft cover, spiral bound publication. Since I had a copy of it, I had volunteered to be listed on the Upshur Co. TX Genweb page as a source for "lookups" out of the book. I am excited about the China opportunity , but a little nervous and scared too. My arms feel like pincushions today. I had 6 injections yesterday and have many more to go. If you are going to be in China longer than 6 months, the number of immunizations, etc. increases dramatically. Although I know I will be teaching English at a university there, I won't know my specific assignment until April or May. I'll get the book in the mail tomorrow.
