The Campus Y held its first annual Social Just Tour on Saturday, March 1 and traveled to Hargraves Community, the Orange County Landfill, Piedmont Biodiesels Industrial plant in Pittsboro, and Student Action with Farmworkers in Durham. 001, 001a Efrem Brittain leads the tour about areas neglected by Orange County in predominantly black neighborhoods including the expansion of a landfill with housing less than 100 feet away. 002 “When I was growing up we’d be out here at 7,8 in the morning.
