I thought about you when all the news was breaking. I really enjoyed Hawaii except for Waikiki. That's for the birds! I experience enough traffic and congestion daily. I guess I didn't know my geography well enough, but I was so surprised at the difference in the wet and dry sides of the mountains, and also how mountainous the country itself was. I guess I was just laboring under the impressions of the movies, sandy beaches and palm trees. We spent two nights on Kauai, five on Maui, two on Hawaii, and one on Oahu. We took a one day boat trip from Maui to Lanai. We flew between islands and rented a car on each island. So we really got around and saw quite a lot of different things. I wouldn't want to do it myself like that, but we had Ed as our driver, and with four of us to watch luggage, keep an eye out for things while others did something, etc. It worked out very well. All was fine except coming home A kid in the seat behind me kicked the seat ALL night long. Mama was a row behind with two other kids and I'm sure she didn't know what was going on, but I surely did! I was exhausted the next couple of days. Took lots of pictures and have several pretty good ones, so all in all, it was a good trip. I'm eager to hear of your experiences. Jane
