I leave Thursday(11th) for Hawaii, and I have such a full schedule between now and then I don't even know when I am going to pack! Perhaps at midnight on Wed. I don't know. Things have really piled up. I need to go back to work. Retirement is too much work! I'll be eager to see the Mirror site, although the reason I quit subscribing years ago was because I didn't know anyone anymore. Unless it said "son or daughter of" then I might know who we were talking about. Now it would have to be "grandchild or great grandchild". But I will look forward to keeping up with the news of the city and county. Did I tell you about the four volume set of books I found at the genealogical library here with excerpts from newspapers in Gordon County, GA? I've had more fun reading about my family, and also other activities of the times. Fun, fun. Do you keep archives? In a book about the county there was a quote about Uncle Joab Lewis telling the editor of the local paper about the first train in Calhoun, GA and he wrote an article from his narrative. I wonder if perhaps I might be able to get a copy of the article from the paper. I keep finding more family. A cousin found an article in a Wise Co. book about our g-g-grandfather. I had thought I'd hit a dead end. The article gave facts that he was in MO, Wise and Navarro Cos. in TX. Today I found him in the census at all places, plus in MO he was living in the home of his father-in- law. Which, someday, when I have more time, perhaps I'll track down in KY, but he's getting back so far tracking is hard. He was 90 in the 1850 census. But at least I know his name. Tell me again when and where you are going? My feeble brain has forgotten. Jane
