About UMA
The University
Managers Association (UMA) was established in 1983 as a result
of the first University Management Development Program
classes. Participants met with
several UNC managers to plan continued networking. A steering committee was formed from
this group and the first UMA meeting was held September 14, 1983.
Our Mission:
UMA shall
provide a forum for the exchange of information relevant to management
in the university setting and to encourage productive interaction among
members.
Our Goals:
To expand
University support for training and finding ways to recognize
university employees. UMA benefits all campus managers by this being a
voice for change on issues of widespread importance.
